Mountain biking.

Update for my friends. I am learning to mountain bike after years of road cycling. My lessons so far:

1. I need shin guards
2. I need other “protective gear”
3. Body armor makes sense when riding through narrow wooded trails
4. Shifting is faster and a little confusing
5. Why do I keep winding up on the “rogue -unmaintained” trail?
6. I need shin guards
7. I’ve walked my bike up more hills than I ever did with my road bike
8. Falling off a hill trail, backwards hurts. A lot.
9. Road cycling clothes are too sissy to wear when mountain biking
10. Fish-tailing down a steep, narrow, muddy trail is scary. And fun.
11. I still get passed by other riders. I am slow.
12. Mountain biking makes me more of a man than Mitch Moyer.
13. My legs and arms hurt. I am old.
14. Liberty is a beautiful campus.
15. I love riding. It fills my tank
17. Mountains are beautiful
18. My Trek bike is beautiful - and so are the friends who gave it to me
19. I like being able to ride anywhere - no boundaries
20. God is good

Matt, you inspire me…and make me jealous…I want a road bike now…so I can wear shin guards

study, practice, teach

For Ezra had set his heart to study the law of the LORD and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel
